Abstract

The city development and growth around historic cities of many countries have been a major problem or the residents and city managers in the contemporary era. This rapid develpement can become a difficult challenge for city managers since it can be considered a threat to heritage values in case they are not controlled and managed properly. The 27th session of World Heritage Commitee in Viena, the emphasis on the issue of urban sprawl in contemporary era, will affect the landscape of historic cities for ever. In this contract management proposals for conservation of historic urban landscapes and solutions associated with modernization were offered. Therefore, regarding the rapid growth and development of cities especially around the historic and valuable core of the city, considering the proposed approaches of the conference is essential.
