Wide and straight avenues (Chaharbagh) are Symbolic elements in the history of Safavid urbanization which were  the major elements of the development and improvement of cities in this era. In fact Chahrbagh Avenue has connected Darvazeh Dolat and Hezar Jarib gardens by two types of royal palaces. Chaharbagh Abbasi is located between Darvazeh Dolat and Si-O-Se pol. The avenue was designed in Shah Abbas I era. Shah Abbas I was the king who changed his capital from Qazvin to Isfahan and decided to gather all the artistic wealth of the country into that central spot which has been called “Nesfe Jahan”. It was surrounded by palaces and residences of noblemen. In 1706-1714, the large madrasa complex of Madar-e Shah was built along the eastern side of the boulevard. Today, it is surrounded with shops, hotels, and some remaining palaces.  The hypothesis of this research is based on the changes of avenues in different periods in terms of physical and social relationship patterns. The achievements of archeology, Persian literatures and visual resources along with notes of European tourists who have visited this avenue provide a rich set for identifying this historical avenue. This research seeks to answer this question: what changes have been occurred in Chaharbagh Abbasi Avenue from the Safavid era to the contemporary era and for this purpose, existing maps of this avenue have been studied by descriptive-analysis method. When this avenue was created in Safavid era, it had properties of cohesion and coherence with aspects of tourism and recreation without intentions of speculative and commercial; and it affected by heterogeneous applications such as businesses and services in subsequent eras especially after Qajar era. Business activity is the major activity in this historical avenue nowadays.}, keywords = {Isfahan,Avenue,Chaharbagh,Historic Maps}, title_fa = {روایت نقشه‌ها از خیابان چهارباغ اصفهان}, abstract_fa = {خیابان (چهارباغ)های عریض و مستقیم، از جمله عناصر نمادین در تاریخ شهرسازی صفوی است که از عناصر اصلی توسعه و بهسازی شهرها در این عصر بوده‌اند. خیابان چهارباغ اصفهان توسط دوگونه کاخ شاهی، دروازه دولت و باغ هزارجریب را به هم پیوند می‌داده است. خیابان چهارباغ عباسی بین دروازه دولت و سی‌و‌سه‌ پل در زمان شاه عباس اول احداث شده است.فرضیه این پژوهش بر این اساس است که این خیابان در دوره‌های مختلف تغییراتی را از نظر کالبدی و الگوی روابط اجتماعی به خود دیده ‌است. دستاوردهای باستان‌شناسی، متون فارسی و منابع تصویری همراه با یادداشت‌های جهانگردان اروپایی که از این خیابان دیدن کرده‌اند، مجموعه‌ای غنی را برای شناسایی این خیابان تاریخی فراهم آورده است. این پژوهش درصدد پاسخ به این سؤال است که چه تغییراتی در خیابان چهارباغ عباسی از دوره صفوی تا دوره معاصر صورت گرفته است و برای این مهم، با رویکرد توصیفی _ تحلیلی به بررسی نقشه‌های تهیه‌ شده از این خیابان در دوره‌های مختلف پرداخته است. این خیابان به هنگام ساخته شدن در دوره صفوی، واجد انسجام و همگونی بوده و بیشتر جنبه گردشگری و تفریحی داشته و خالی از اهداف و اغراض سوداگرانه و تجاری بوده است. در دوره‌های بعدی، به ویژه بعد از دوره‌ قاجار به کاربری‌های ناهمگون تجاری، خدماتی و ... دچار شده است. امروزه کاربری تجاری، کاربری غالب در این خیابان تاریخی است.}, keywords_fa = {اصفهان,خیابان,چهارباغ,نقشه}, url = {http://www.manzar-sj.com/article_57905.html}, eprint = {http://www.manzar-sj.com/article_57905_101c6576fa37ccb8f10182425688ae1a.pdf} }
